Missing a Word? Tell Us in the Comments

Some of the most useful comments we get are just a few words long: "Can you add this one?"

You've found a word in a dictionary, or played it in a word game, but it doesn't appear in our results. You leave a note. We look it up, check what's missing, and update the list. That's how quite a few of the words in WordleSolver Pro got here.

If you've spotted another gap, please tell us. Our review team checks user comments every day and adds verified missing words to the dictionary. You don't need to write a long explanation, and you don't need to be certain that you've found a mistake. The exact spelling and a little context are enough to get us started.

A few recent comments that made a difference

On October 2, we added 27 five-letter words from comments left between September 23 and 25. Here are a few examples from that batch.

"Can you add pluff and pouff?"

This was the whole suggestion, and it was enough for us to check both words. PLUFF and POUFF are now in the solver. POUFF is a less familiar spelling of pouf, the low cushioned seat you might put beside a sofa. Collins lists that spelling in its entry for pouf.

Variant spellings are easy to overlook. A list can include the familiar form and still miss another perfectly good spelling, so these short reports help more than you might think.

BREME and BRERE, with a useful reference

Another reader asked for BREME and BRERE and pointed us to the Collins Scrabble dictionary. Both are now included too.

These are older words, so they're unlikely to be the first guesses you'd reach for in an everyday puzzle. But they belong in a broader word list. We checked them against the Collins Scrabble Words 2024 five-letter list published by the Malaysian Scrabble Association and kept them near the rare end of our results.

That dictionary reference was helpful. If you have a link to the entry or know which word list your game uses, please include it.

A longer list, including ADOZE and TUBAE

One comment gave us 23 words to check. All 23 are now available, including AGAZE, ADOZE, POTAE and TUBAE.

ADOZE describes someone who is dozing, while TUBAE is a plural of tuba. Neither is a typo, even if one looks unusual at first glance. You can see the forms in the Collins entries for adoze and tuba.

Longer lists are welcome too. We check each word separately, because an unfamiliar spelling, a regional word and a special plural may need different references.

We also added twelve words from reader feedback on September 30, including APSES, ADZES and ACMES. Another suggestion in that group, AEDES, was already there. Sometimes a report leads to a new entry; sometimes it helps us work out why an existing word didn't show up.

What happens after you leave a suggestion

Our review team reads new comments every day. For a missing-word report, we check the exact spelling, look for a recognised dictionary entry or an established Scrabble list, and check whether the word is already in our dictionary.

If it belongs in the list and is missing, we add it, check that it appears in solver results, and reply to your comment once the update is live. Less common words stay lower in the results so everyday guesses remain easy to find.

Some of the recent suggestions waited longer than they should have. Thank you for bearing with us while we worked through them. A reply saying that we'll check a word isn't the end of the job; we still need to finish the check and let you know the outcome.

Daily review doesn't mean every suggestion can be added the same day. Some words take a little more digging, and a dictionary entry won't always qualify for the particular game you're playing. Our solver covers a wider vocabulary than the daily Wordle answer list, so a word appearing here doesn't guarantee that every game will accept it.

Send us the next one

Open the menu (≡) on the solver homepage and choose Comments, or leave a comment below this post. Tell us the word you couldn't find. If you can, add the dictionary or game where you saw it and the letters you entered in the solver.

A simple note like "TUBAE is missing; Collins lists it as a plural of tuba" is ideal. But "Can you check TUBAE?" is useful too.

Thanks to everyone who has sent us a word, a spelling correction or a puzzling result. Those small notes make the list better for the next person who needs it. If you've got one, we'd like to hear it.
